Experts have found the cause of overheating Android-smartphones

Not only do smartphones heat up under heavy use, it’s much more annoying if it happens when sending emails or chatting in messenger. It has been suggested that devices based on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 overheat most often. But the reason for throttling, as experts found out, lies not in the chip itself.

Business Korea reports that 2022 smartphone users are experiencing the problem more frequently. And it seems that the reason has become known: it is the design of the ARM architecture on which most processors are based.

The publication notes that Snapdragon and Exynos processors are only used in Android smartphones, and all have been confirmed to have the same overheating problems. But Apple devices, according to experts, are less prone to overheating, as the company has control over all smartphone hardware and devotes much more time to optimization.

“On the other hand, Samsung Electronics and Qualcomm are developing processors for use in various models from many manufacturers, and it seems that using a standard design without any changes leads to problems,” experts say.
