How to Install Gcam In Redmi Note 5
Before I start to telling you how you can install Gcam in Redmi Note 5, make sure your device is unlocked, here is guide how to unlock Redmi Note 5.
Notes: Warning, this involves modifying the build.prop file in your system folder. After doing this, you’ll no longer get OTA updates on your Redmi Note 5.

- Fisrt of all you have to root your phone (How to root Redmi Note 5)
- Download TWRP for Redmi Note: Click here
- Download ADB Fastboot driver: Click here
After rooting your device, you can easily install Gcam in Redmi Note 5, now you have to boot your phone into TWRP recovery mode and flash Magisk or SuperSu. I prefer Magisk because this module comes with two in one module included xposed and SuperSu also.
Install Gcam In Redmi Note 5
After you done the task, turn on you device and search in PlayStore “build prop editor“. Download Build.prop Editor app this app require root access.
Then open the build.prop editor app and give permission access. After that find that or wrote their in build.prop “setprop persist.camera.HAL3.enabled 1“, save and exit. Do not use any inverted commas there when you’re typing the command line.
Reboot your device and download Gcam for Redmi Note 5 and install Gcam, then open the camera app and below are some settings I did to get better photos as compared to stock camera.
Settings -> BSG mod settings
- Model New style Pixel
- HDR+ parameter – Super High
- Fix back camera (black level)
- Final jpg quality HDR+ 100%
- Zoom in portrait for back and front camera – 1.0 (without zoom)
Also you can do some Tweaks Settings -> Developer settings
- Enable camera.p3
- Enable camera.enable_hwhdr
