Chinese resource Ifeng reports that Huawei will present its own operating system under the probable name HongMeng OS on August 9, the first day of Huawei Developer Conference.
At the end of May, the head of Huawei Consumer Business Group, Richard Yu, confirmed that the company’s operating system will be released this fall. First, it will go to the native Huawei market, then HongMeng OS can get devices intended for export.
The OS will be able to work including on wearable devices, cars and TVs, as well as support Android applications.
The Huawei Developer Conference will be held in Dongguan District of China from August 9 to 11, 2019. It is expected that more than 1,500 partners and 5,000 developers from around the world will take part in its work.
