Realme first appeared in China in 2010 as “OPPO Real” and its position in India is 6th. It was a subbrand of OPPO Electronics Corporation until its separation in 2018, after which it became an independent company.
On July 30, 2018, former vice president of OPPO and head of OPPO’s overseas business department Sky Li announced his official resignation from OPPO and his intention to establish Realme as an independent brand on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo.
The Realme X and X Lite which will be unveiled in China on May 15 have appeared on TENAA with their images and full specs.
