Continuing the development of its own operating system, HUAWEI is preparing to transfer to it a number of branded devices, including smartphones. In anticipation of the upcoming software upgrade, the head of the consumer software department of the brand Wang Chenglu announced the company’s readiness to transfer most of the branded devices to the new platform, and insiders have published a list of gadgets that can count on the installation of HarmonyOS 2.0.
It is expected that HarmonyOS 2.0 will be released according to the previously announced schedule: the beta version of the operating system will be available on December 18, and the first builds for users as part of open testing will appear in January-February next year. A stable firmware will be released, according to insiders, in the spring of 2021.
According to the president of the HUAWEI Consumer Business Software Division, ultimately at least 90% of the devices already released by the vendor can count on support for HarmonyOS 2.0. Now an unofficial list has appeared on the network, which includes 26 smartphones, 14 gadgets of the HONOR brand, three tablets and three models of smart watches.
