Following the flagship Dimensity 1000+ , MediaTek introduced the new mid-range processor Dimensity 820. In fact, this is an improved version of the recently released Dimensity 800 . The chipset received support for 5G, high-refresh rate displays and cameras with resolutions up to 80 megapixels.

MediaTek Dimensity 820 Features, Specifications
MediaTek Dimensity 820 is made according to the 7-nm process technology and includes four powerful Cortex-A76 cores operating at a frequency of 2.6 GHz, and four energy-efficient Cortex-A55 with a frequency of 2 GHz. The regular Dimensity 800 uses the same set of cores, but they all work at a frequency of 2 GHz. The graphics accelerator is the Mali-G57 video accelerator, which received five processing units instead of four from its predecessor.
According to MediaTek, in Geekbench 4.2 the new chip gives 7% more points in the single-core test and by 37% in the multi-core compared to the Snapdragon 765G, and in GFXBench Manhattan 3.0. demonstrates a 33% higher frame rate.
In addition to the built-in neuro block, 5G modem, support for screens with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and cameras with a resolution of up to 80 megapixels, the new processor uses HyperEngine 2.0 and Imagiq 5.0 technologies to improve gaming performance and shoot 4K HDR video.
The first new chipset will receive a Redmi 10X smartphone, the presentation of which will take place on May 26.
