In the Chinese social network Weibo, information about the potential of the future Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor has appeared. Qualcomm’s flagship chipset has managed to bypass the recently announced MediaTek Dimensity 9000.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 breaks MediaTek’s 9000 Dimensity record in benchmark
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 scores 1,035,020 points in AnTuTu judging by the image shown. For comparison, Dimensity 9000 has already demonstrated 1,007,396 and 1,002,220 points. Thus, the new Qualcomm chip is slightly faster than its competitor, although the difference is still minimal – about 30,000 points. If we compare it with the Snapdragon 888, which scores about 860,000 points at best, the performance gain in the new device is about 20%.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 presentation will take place next Tuesday, November 30, and the Moto Edge X and Xiaomi 12 may become the first smartphones based on it .
