Xiaomi announced the start of sales of the smart lamp Mi Zero Blue Light Bedside Night Lamp, the fundraising for the release of which was previously carried out on the Youpin crowdfunding site. According to the manufacturer, it has no analogs, since this is the first lamp in the world without blue eye damage.
The device was developed by a team of scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences of Nanchang University. To achieve a low color temperature without the use of phosphorus, the novelty uses yellow and red LEDs as the main light source. So the lamp, unlike the analogs on the market where special filters are used, does not study blue light at all. Thanks to this, the lamp is completely safe for human eyes. It is reported that even small children with very sensitive eyesight can look at this lamp without harm.
The device supports control from a smartphone, is able to play music and even work as an alarm clock. In safe mode, the lamp power is 2 watts. If desired, you can switch to normal operation by activating 12 0.5 W LEDs.
In China, the lamp has already gone on sale for $ 47.
